Policies and Procedures
Select any heading below to read the full detail. If you would rather talk to a person, section 14 tells you how to reach us.
1Introduction
The Sporting Resource provides coaching resources to coaches, parents and anyone else with an interest in the game. These policies set out what you can expect from us and what we ask of you in return.
They apply whenever you use this website or any resource you get from us, whether you paid for it or not. Money matters are dealt with separately in our refund policy.
2Who we are
The Sporting Resource is an independent coaching platform based in Wales, United Kingdom, producing articles, interviews, videos and downloadable coaching resources.
Our paid resources are sold through our website, Gumroad store and through Amazon.
3Free and paid resources
A good deal of what we publish is free to read and watch, and you do not need an account or a purchase to get at it.
Our paid resources, such as ebooks, assessment guides and session materials, are available once you have bought them through Gumroad or Amazon. Buying gives you access to that resource on the terms set out below.
4Agreeing to these terms
By using this website or any resource from us, you are agreeing to these policies. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or our resources.
Where a particular resource comes with its own terms, for example something sold through Gumroad or Amazon, those terms apply alongside these ones.
5Ownership of our work
Everything we publish, such as articles, interviews, videos, images, session materials and downloadable resources, is protected by copyright and belongs to The Sporting Resource, unless we have credited it to someone else.
Buying a resource does not transfer ownership of it to you. It gives you permission to use it, which is a different thing, and section 6 explains what that permission covers.
6How you may use our resources
You have a personal licence to use our resources in your own coaching and your own professional development. That licence is non-exclusive and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
In practical terms, you are welcome to use a session from one of our resources with the team you coach, print a copy for your own use on the touchline, and draw on the ideas in your own practice. That is what the material is for.
7What you may not do
Please do not copy, share, resell, upload or otherwise pass on our resources to other people, whether or not you are charging for them. That includes posting files in group chats, club drives, coaching forums or social media.
Please also do not present our material as your own work, or use it as the basis of something you sell.
If you want to use something of ours in a way this section does not allow, ask us. We are usually happy to say yes to reasonable requests, particularly from clubs and coach educators, and a short message saves everyone a difficult conversation later.
8When we may withdraw access
We may withdraw access to a paid resource where it has been shared, resold or otherwise used in a way these policies do not allow.
Before doing that we will contact you, explain what we think has happened, and give you a fair chance to put it right or to tell us we have got it wrong. We would far rather sort something out than take it any further.
9Reporting misuse
If you come across our material being shared or sold somewhere it should not be, we would be grateful if you told us through our contact page.
A link to where you saw it is usually all we need. We look into everything reported to us and deal with it ourselves in the first instance.
10If you think we have used your work
We take care to credit sources and to get permission for material that is not ours. If you believe something of yours has been used here without permission or without proper credit, get in touch and tell us what and where.
We will look at it promptly, and where we have got something wrong we will correct it or take it down.
11Your information
When you sign up to our mailing list, send us a message, or buy something from us, we handle a small amount of your information in order to do those things.
Payment details are handled by Gumroad or Amazon under their own privacy policies, and we never see or store your card information. Anything you send to us directly is used to deal with your enquiry and nothing else, and you can ask us to remove you from our mailing list at any time.
12Refunds
Refunds, cancellations and anything to do with a faulty or incorrect file are covered in full by our refund policy.
Nothing on this page reduces or removes your legal rights as a consumer.
13Changes to these policies
We may update these policies from time to time as the site changes. Where a change is significant we will note it on this page rather than making it quietly.
The version that applies to anything you have already bought is the one that was published on the day you bought it, so a later change will not affect a purchase you have already made.
14Contacting us
The quickest way to reach us is through our contact page. We reply within 7 working days.
Our normal hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm GMT.
15Effective date
This version took effect on 28.07.26 and replaces the previous policies and procedures page.
By using this website and our resources you agree to these policies. They sit alongside your legal rights rather than in place of them.
